Facts about JAMB post UTME admission process

The guideline was released following a combined policy meeting on admissions which was held between the board and stakeholders on Thursday, June, 2, 2016 at the NUC. According to the guideline, before a candidate can be considered for screening, he/she must have been given provisional admission by JAMB. The guideline also specified that henceforth, JAMB admission would depend on points tally points of candidates. The points are evenly spread out between O’level and JAMB results to provide a level playing field for all. According to the points tally, any candidate who submits only one result which contains his/her relevant subjects already has 10 points, the exam could be NECO, WAEC, GCE etc. The guide states that any candidate who has 2 sittings only gets 2 points. So this means that aspirants with only one result are at an advantage.
